Article 1Purpose

These terms govern the sale of advertising placements ("Slots") on the bodywork of a Volkswagen California campervan ("the Vehicle"), operated daily by Steve Rover ("the Operator") for professional rounds and content production across France and Europe. By reserving a Slot, bidding, or paying, the sponsor ("the Sponsor") accepts these terms in full. The offer is directed at businesses and professionals; consumers within the meaning of the French Consumer Code should contact the Operator before ordering.

Article 2The offer

Two categories of Slots exist, both described with dimensions and placements on the site:

• Phase 1, fixed prices: Slots S (25 × 20 cm, 1 500 € HT), M (60 × 35 cm, 5 000 € HT) and L (90 × 50 cm, 9 000 € HT), sold at the listed price, first paid, first placed within the category.
• Phase 2, live auctions: the Roof (250 × 120 cm, reserve 15 000 € HT), the two sliding doors XL (120 × 80 cm, reserve 12 000 € HT each), the Hood (130 × 70 cm, reserve 8 000 € HT) and the rear window Glass (110 × 60 cm micro-perforated one-way film, reserve 5 000 € HT), sold to the highest bidder under Article 5.

Dimensions are maximum printable areas measured on the flat metal of the Vehicle; minor adjustments may be required by body creases or hardware, never reducing a Slot by more than 10 % in either dimension without the Sponsor's agreement.

Article 3Funding floor and ceiling

The campaign has a funding floor of 110 000 € HT, which finances the base Vehicle (Volkswagen California Beach Camper) and the charges attached to phase 1, and a ceiling of 182 000 € HT, which finances the upgraded Vehicle specification, an auxiliary scooter, a year of fuel and the charges attached to phase 2.

• Fixed-price Slots are allocated and publicly announced upon payment. Physical installation follows delivery of the Vehicle, which is ordered once the floor is reached.
• Auctions settle only once the floor is reached.
• If the floor is not reached within twelve (12) months of campaign launch, every payment is refunded in full within fourteen (14) days, in euros, and unsettled bids are void with nothing owed.
• Sums received beyond the floor fund the Vehicle upgrade and campaign operation; no additional consideration is owed for exceeding the floor.

Article 4Ordering and prices

Reservation on the site is free and non-binding until payment. A reserved fixed-price Slot is held for 72 hours after email confirmation by the Operator. All prices are stated excluding tax; French VAT at 20 % applies and appears on the invoice. Invoices are issued in euros within 48 hours of payment, together with the signed placement contract and a placement certificate.

Article 5Auction rules

• Auctions are open: the current highest bid amount and bid count per Slot are displayed on the site. Bidder identities are never displayed.
• The minimum first bid is the reserve; each subsequent bid must exceed the current highest bid by at least 500 €.
• Bids below these thresholds are rejected automatically by the system.
• A bid is a firm commitment to pay if it wins. Bidding is free; only the winner pays.
• Auctions close seven (7) days after the funding floor is reached, or at a backstop date announced on the site, whichever comes first. The Operator notifies the winner by email; payment is due within seven (7) days, failing which the Slot is offered to the next highest bidder.

Article 6Payment

Accepted payment methods: card or SEPA debit via Stripe, bank transfer (IBAN on the invoice), or Bitcoin over the Lightning Network to stevoshi@strike.me. All invoices are denominated in euros. Bitcoin payments are converted at the exchange rate applicable at the time of payment; the euro amount on the invoice is the contractual amount, including for any refund.

Article 7Term of display

A Slot is displayed from installation until permanent decommissioning of the Vehicle (destruction, total loss without replacement, or end-of-life sale for scrap). There is no annual renewal and no scheduled removal date. If the Vehicle is replaced before end of life, the placement transfers to a replacement vehicle of comparable visibility within ninety (90) days, failing which the Sponsor is refunded pro-rata over an expected eight (8) year term from installation.

Article 8Installation, artwork and changes

Artwork is supplied by the Sponsor in print-ready vector format. Slots are produced in printed, laminated cast vinyl and installed by a professional within thirty (30) days of the Vehicle's delivery, or of payment for Slots sold after delivery. Two artwork replacements per calendar year are included; additional changes by written agreement. The position of a Slot never changes once assigned. The rear window Slot uses micro-perforated one-way film preserving rearward visibility.

Article 9Content and audience

The Operator publishes videos, photographs and posts featuring the Vehicle and will not deliberately crop, blur or conceal a Sponsor's placement in his own published content. GPS tracker access is provided to Sponsors for the life of the display. No level of impressions, reach, engagement or commercial return is promised or implied. Sponsorship of the Vehicle does not constitute endorsement by the Operator of the Sponsor's products, nor medical or professional endorsement of any kind.

Article 10Acceptability of sponsors and artwork

The Operator may refuse, before or after payment, artwork or sponsors that are unlawful, misleading, health-related pseudoscience, gambling, tobacco, adult content, or incompatible with the Operator's profession as a registered nurse, with a full refund and no further liability. The Sponsor warrants it owns or holds all rights to the supplied artwork and indemnifies the Operator against any third-party claim arising from its display.

Article 11Damage, insurance and interruptions

The Vehicle is comprehensively insured. If a placement is damaged, the Operator reprints and reinstalls the artwork at his own cost, same Slot, same size, within a reasonable time. Periods of immobilisation (repair, maintenance, holidays) do not open a right to compensation; the display term is not extended or reduced by them.

Article 12Liability

The total liability of either party under these terms and any placement contract is capped at the amount actually paid for the Slot concerned. Neither party is liable for indirect damages, loss of profit or loss of opportunity. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under French law.

Article 13Personal data

Data collected through the reservation, bidding and contact forms (company, name, email, X handle, uploaded logo, bid amounts, messages) is stored with Supabase and used solely to operate the campaign: allocating Slots, running auctions, invoicing, and answering messages. It is never sold or shared with third parties except processors strictly necessary to the service (Supabase, Stripe, Netlify, email). Under the GDPR you may access, rectify or delete your data by writing to contact@steverover.com. Data is kept for the duration of the campaign and any resulting contract, plus legal retention periods for invoices. The site sets no advertising cookies.

Article 14Intellectual property

The site, its texts, design and photographs remain the property of the Operator. Sponsor logos remain the property of their owners; the Sponsor grants the Operator a non-exclusive licence to reproduce the artwork on the Vehicle and in any content featuring the Vehicle, worldwide, for the duration of the display and the lifetime of the content. "Volkswagen" and "California" are trademarks of Volkswagen AG; this campaign is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Volkswagen AG.

Article 15Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by French law. The parties will attempt amicable resolution first; failing that, the courts of Bordeaux have exclusive jurisdiction for disputes between professionals. This English text is provided for accessibility; a French version prevails if executed bilingually.
